BookLoom is licensed, not sold, to you for use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
BookLoom is a companion app for book clubs and reading groups. You may use it to:
You agree not to misuse the app, reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. When inviting other members to a shared club, you agree to do so only with people who consent to participate.
All book selections, ratings, and notes you create using BookLoom belong entirely to you and the members of your shared clubs. We claim no ownership, license, or rights to any content you create. Your data is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account, and is never transmitted to ShadowPuppet, LLC.
When you share a club with another member through iCloud, the other members can see and contribute to that club’s content within the limits Apple’s sharing system permits. You are responsible for who you invite. BookLoom does not mediate disputes between club members.
BookLoom may offer optional in-app purchases in the future. Any purchases would be processed by Apple and subject to Apple’s terms. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.
Your use of BookLoom is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Data is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers.
BookLoom is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that iCloud sync will always be available. iCloud availability is governed by Apple.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShadowPuppet, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of BookLoom. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the app or its in-app purchases.
All design, code, and trademarks in BookLoom are the property of ShadowPuppet, LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app. The reading lists, ratings, and notes you create are yours; the app itself is ours.
You may stop using BookLoom at any time by deleting the app and removing yourself from any shared clubs. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or any features at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
